A grand jury in Georgia, USA, on Tuesday (11th) indicted the 22-year-old suspect involved in three Atlanta shootings in March. The three cases resulted in the deaths of eight people, including six Asian women. .
Xinhua News Agency reported that the defendant Robert Aaron Long was charged in Fulton County, Georgia with 19 counts, including four counts of deliberate murder, four counts of murder and one count of domestic terrorism.
Fulton County District Attorney Willis said on Tuesday that she will file hate crime charges against Lang on the basis of race and gender and seek to sentence him to death.
The indictment only concerns the shooting at two spas in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, on March 16. A grand jury in Cherokee County will decide the prosecution of Lang’s alleged shooting at a massage parlour in suburban Atlanta on the same day.
