US President Biden plans to give 70% of adults at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine before the US Independence Day.
The New York Times and Reuters reported that the rate of COVID-19 vaccination in the United States began to slow down. Biden decided to adjust his strategy by changing the large-scale vaccination center to a small-scale vaccination center and set it up in a more convenient location for residents.
Biden announced on Tuesday (4th) afternoon that he has instructed hundreds of thousands of pharmacies to vaccinate people who have not made an appointment with coronavirus. At the same time, more pop-up and mobile clinics will be set up, and more vaccines will be shipped to rural clinics.
Biden said his goal is to have 70% of adults get at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine by July 4. Once the relevant authorities approve the immunization of children with coronavirus, the US government will vaccinate children between the ages of 12 and 15 as soon as possible.
Biden said: “Now our vaccine supply is okay, and we will focus on persuading more Americans to come and get the vaccine.”
Biden said: “If we can succeed in doing this…the American people have the hope of truly returning to normal life.”
White House officials told the media that 105 million people in the United States have so far been vaccinated, and 56%, or 147 million adults, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
