Japan’s NHK TV station said that the number of confirmed cases of coronary disease in Osaka City reached a new high in a single day. On Saturday (May 1), there were 1262 new confirmed cases and 41 deaths.
The highest number of confirmed cases in a single day in Osaka was 1,260 recorded on Wednesday.
The number of confirmed cases in Tokyo also rose on Saturday, with an increase of 1,050. There were also more than 1,000 new cases in the local area on Thursday.
Given that the epidemic in Japan has not improved, and now there are only 12 weeks left before the Tokyo Olympics, public opinion is discussing whether the Tokyo Olympics should be held as scheduled.
