India added more than 400,000 confirmed cases of covid-19 on Saturday (May 1), becoming the first country in the world to add more than 400,000 new cases within 24 hours.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health of India, the country added 400,000 confirmed cases of coronary disease in 1993, bringing the cumulative total to 19.1 million. The number of deaths increased by 3,523, and the cumulative death toll was 21,185.
According to Agence France-Presse, India recorded approximately 7 million confirmed cases in April alone. However, the per capita infection rate in India is still lower than many countries.
Some experts pointed out that due to insufficient virus detection and inaccurate records of the cause of death, the actual number will be much higher.
