A source in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan, said on Wednesday (April 21) that an explosion occurred at a hotel in the city that night, resulting in at least three deaths and 11 injuries.
Xinhua News Agency reported that sources from the Quetta City Citizens Hospital said that the hospital was receiving the wounded in the bombing incident, two of whom were in serious condition.
Balochistan Police Chief Mohamed Rai told local media that the explosion occurred in the parking lot of the Quetta Serena Hotel, where an explosive device was installed on a car in the parking lot. The police have cordoned off the explosion site and launched an investigation into the explosion.
A source from the Pakistani intelligence agency said that the explosion sounded loudly, several cars caught fire in the parking lot, and the glass of the Serena Hotel and some nearby buildings was shattered.
Currently, no organization or individual has claimed to have caused this explosion.
