The cumulative number of confirmed cases of coronary disease in Canada exceeded the 1 million mark on Saturday (April 3).
According to local media reports, British Columbia announced 2,000 new confirmed cases on Saturday night, bringing the country’s cumulative cases to over 1 million and cumulative deaths to more than 23,000.
Canada is facing a third wave of epidemics, forcing many provinces to strengthen anti-epidemic measures in recent days. The most populous provinces of Ontario and Quebec have stepped up public health measures before the Easter weekend.
More than one-third of the confirmed cases in Canada are from Ontario, and local epidemic prevention restrictions will be strengthened for at least four weeks.
