Several sources in the telecommunications industry in Myanmar said on Thursday (April 1) that the Myanmar military leaders ordered Internet service providers to shut down wireless broadband services until further notice.
According to an email seen by Reuters, an Internet service provider instructed employees to stop wireless broadband services in the email but did not mention any reasons. The email also mentioned that mobile Internet services will continue to be shut down, and according to the law, the company must abide by the directive
