A female lone wolf believed to be a follower of the extremist organization “Islamic State” broke into the Indonesian police headquarters yesterday (March 31) in an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack, and was killed in exchange of fire with the police.
Indonesia’s National Police Chief, Lister, held a press conference afterwards and pointed out that the deceased was a 25-year-old woman. A few hours before the attack, she posted a picture of the Iraqi organization’s flag on her social media account.

Local media described this as a terrorist attack in reports. According to the footage broadcast by the TV station, shortly after a person wearing a veil and a black long coat walked into the National Police Headquarters building in Jakarta, gunshots were heard at the scene. The subsequent footage showed that the man fell to the ground motionless, with multiple police officers surrounding the body.
