World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General Ivira plans to convene a meeting in April to try to solve the serious shortage of coronavirus vaccine supply.

Reuters reported that Ivira delivered a speech to all member states through the WTO website on Tuesday (30th). She said that it is unacceptable for poor countries to have no fair access to the coronavirus vaccine. She said: “I hope to pass this meeting. , And work together with everyone to solve the serious shortage of vaccine supply.”

The WTO meeting will be held in mid-April. Participants will include WTO regional organizations, vaccine manufacturers from developing and developed countries, and civil society.
