A 10-storey apartment building in Cairo collapsed at around 3 am on Saturday. Witnesses said many people were trapped under the rubble.
10-storey apartment in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, collapsed.
The Egyptian state news agency MENA reported that five people have been confirmed dead and another 24 were injured. Witnesses said that many people were still trapped under the rubble.
The Cairo City Government stated that the incident occurred at 3 a.m. local time on Saturday. The location is in the Gesr Suez area near Heliopolis, east of Cairo.
