Three international organizations issued a joint statement: Seafarers and flight attendants should give priority to Covid vaccination
The World Health Organization, the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the International Maritime Organization issued a joint statement on Friday (March 26) that seafarers and flight attendants should be regarded as “necessary workers” to give priority to immunization against coronavirus.
Reuters reported that the statement stated that seafarers and flight attendants must frequently move across borders, so they may need to show proof of vaccination when entering some countries. The three organizations called on all countries to include seafarers and flight attendants in the list of necessary workers.
