The Suez Canal Authority stated that it has temporarily suspended traffic on the Suez Canal. At the same time, eight tugboats are working hard to de-shallow.

Reuters reported that the Suez Canal Authority said in a statement on Thursday (25th) that 13 ships sailed south along the canal on Wednesday and waited in nearby lakes until the Ever Given container ship went shallow.

According to reports, the authorities have also dispatched heavy machinery to excavate the soil near the bow of the ship.
