US President Biden, 78, took the Air Force One special plane to Atlanta in the morning on Friday (March 19). He tripped on the gangway three times while boarding the plane, causing concerns about his health. Concerned, the White House said that Biden was “100% okay.”
During interviews at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, many media captured Biden tripping three times, but he was able to get up on his own, which seemed to be fine. After standing up, Biden first wiped the dust off his knees, then finally boarded the cabin door, and entered the cabin after saluting.
White House spokeswoman Pierre (Karine Jean-Pierre) told reporters that Biden was “100% okay” and believed that the strong winds at Andrews Air Force Base might be a reason for Biden’s trip.
White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield said on Twitter that Biden was not injured and did not need any treatment from the accompanying medical team.
She said: “This is just a mistake on the gangway.”
Biden is the oldest president of the United States at the time he was elected. He slipped and fractured his foot while playing with his pet dog in November last year. His health has attracted much attention from the outside world.
