Iranian state media reported that Iran’s emergency department director Kuliwand said that the country’s Fire Jumping Festival celebrations began at sunset on Tuesday and lasted until late at night. The accident that caused many casualties was the result of homemade fireworks and artillery battles. Among them, 87 wounded had broken arms or lost their lower limbs.
Iran is one of the countries with the most severe coronavirus epidemic in the Middle East. Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that the police arrested 25 people in the capital Tehran.
