Three shootings occurred on Tuesday at two spas in downtown Atlanta, the capital of Georgia, and a massage parlor on the outskirts of the United States. Eight people were killed and two injured.
Atlanta police said that in the evening in a neighborhood with multiple spas in the northeast of Atlanta, the police received a robbery call and rushed to the scene to find three people were shot dead in a spa. There was also a shooting at a spa across the street, killing one person. The dead were all women and looked Asian.
The police subsequently blocked the block and were searching for the suspect.
Earlier in the day, a shooting occurred at a massage parlor in Cherokee County, Atlanta. Local media said that the shooting had killed four people and injured two others. The 21-year-old suspect, Robert Aaron Lang, was arrested by the police that night.
The police are not yet sure whether the three shootings are related.
