A total of 105 Chinese PLA soldiers participated in the Victory Day parade celebrating the 75th anniversary of the World War II victory in the Russian capital Moscow on Wednesday.
At the invitation of Russia, the Chinese soldiers arrived in Moscow on June 13 by air.
Many of the soldiers once took part in the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on Oct. 1, 2019.
The 105 soldiers include 99 honor guards and six commanding and supporting personnel.
The Victory Day is one of the most ceremonious festivals in Russia, for which the country holds large-scale military parades in various cities involving tens of thousands of troops as well as most advanced weapons and military equipment.
The 2020 Victory Day parade was originally scheduled for May 9, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
